Recipe

Here is a basic recipe for making pizza at home:

Ingredients:

  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110-115 degrees F)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (such as pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Firstly, In a large bowl, combine sugar, yeast, and warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes or until the mixture becomes frothy.
  2. Add 2 cups flour, olive oil, and salt to yeast mixture, and stir until well combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour, and mix until dough forms.
  4. Turn dough onto a floured surface, and knead for about 8 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  5. Then place dough in a greased bowl, and turn to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. After that, preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  7. Then roll out dough to desired thickness on a floured surface.
  8. After that transfer dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  9. Then spread tomato sauce over dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  10. Sprinkle cheese and toppings over sauce and finally,
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Note: This recipe is for a basic pizza, you can use any sauce, cheese, or toppings you like.
