Corona vs. tea: A scientific explanation of the fake story

Corona and tea? Is this story true? A scientific explanation

If you have been surfing on social media since this morning, you will see that there are many posts and articles saying that corona is good with tea. All of that was posted on the CNN news section. But have we ever seen one on CNN? So I thought I’d find out if this is true.

Scientists and experts are working around the clock to find an antiviral for Covid-19, and social media users are trying to socialize nonsense for their likes and shares. This is 100% the same thing.

This story is not just spread by Dr. Li Wenliang, the doctor who first introduced the world to corona.

This is how it was stated

The articles state that this is caused by a combination of theobromine, methylxanthine, and theophylline.

What then is true?

The mistake that can easily get your claim denied is to fail. Then there is a group of chemicals, which includes not only the two but also caffeine. This is the main active ingredient in all teas. See this research article (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0963996996000385) for a more scientific explanation.

For those who want to know more about methylxanthine, here is everything they have found so far.

But nowhere do they say they are good for the corona. Generally good for other ailments. Most people probably know about caffeine. Not only Red Bull tea but also chocolate.

Research from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Barcelona has found that these are good for some respiratory diseases. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3820066/

The Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China claims that the polyphenol in tea destroys virus cells. It is said that they removed it. ( https://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202003/03/WS5e5d9950a31012821727bbdc.html )

I hope you know by now whether this is true or not. So, after seeing this, let’s find out if it’s true or not before sharing. Otherwise, this misinformation will spread like wildfire.

So we do not believe the falsehoods of tea drinkers, but take the true value of tea.
